Soraya LaPread
Soraya LaPread is a New Zealand DJ, producer and songwriter whose work bridges pop, R&B, hip-hop, dance and global music. She has co-written and produced for BLACKPINK, Burna Boy, Doja Cat and more, with over 600 million streams across her credits, including Burna Boy’s Grammy-nominated “Tested, Approved & Trusted”.
Music runs in the family: her father, Commodores co-founder and bassist Ronald LaPread, met her mother while touring the world with the band, and her childhood was spent backstage and in studios across continents. After finishing school in New Zealand, she moved to Los Angeles to study production, songwriting and audio engineering at the Musicians Institute.
As a DJ she has played major festivals, club sets, and for brands, pop-ups and events, including Tinashe, Channel Tres, Entire Studios, Nike and The Link Up.
